Primary Purpose of the Position:

The Field Officer - Monitoring and Evaluation is accountable for the coordination and initiation of project evaluation and report-writing which can be reviewed and shared with internal and external stakeholders, when required.

The role requires diplomacy and tactical project management experience, a natural instinctive need to comply with legislation and company policy.

The role requires financial analysis of projects fund management and expenditure of Development Agencies and Community Employment Creation Projects.

The role requires an impeccable sense of right and wrong and the ability to look at the bigger picture, when evaluating projects against the context and content of the plan.

Job requirements:

•Degree in Business Management Studies or further qualifications in statistical methods, project management, financial accounting ( NQF Level 7)
•Interests of studies in anthropology or geography or community development and donor grand management will be advantageous.
•At least 5 years’ relevant experience.
•Valid Code B Drivers License

•Fluency in both written and spoken English
•Good problem solving and decision-making skills
•Team player
•Analytical ability – to look at data and recognise errors against a complex set of rules, project plans, financial plans, etc.
•Attention to detail
•Confidential and Ethical
•Independent initiation of an annual work plan.
•Planning and coordination is required to achieve multiple objectives at the same time
•Project spending and financial / statistical / analytical report-writing is a minimum requirement
•The successful incumbent will have to travel extensively across Namibia
•The successful applicant shall use diplomacy in dealing with a variety of external stakeholders, on behalf of the Commission, when in the field
